ยืนยันว่าจะไปเลือกตั้ง และอีกร้อยละ 6 ยังไม่แน่ใจ ขณะที่มีเพียงร้อยละ 2 ที่ระบุว่าจะไม่ไปเลือกตั้ง สะท้อนระดับความตื่นตัวทางการเมืองที่สูงกว่าการเลือกตั้งหลายครั้งที่ผ่านมา ในเชิงความหมายของการเลือกตั้ง ประชาชนมองว่าการเลือกตั้งครั้งนี้เป็นทั้งโอกาสในการเปลี่ยนแปลงประเทศให้ดีขึ้น (28.1%) เป็น หน้าที่ของพลเมือง (28.4%) และเป็น กลไกตรวจสอบนักการเมืองที่ทำงานไม่ตอบโจทย์สาธารณะ (19.3%) โดยความคาดหวังสูงสุดของประชาชน ได้แก่ การแก้ไขปัญหาค่าครองชีพและหนี้ครัวเรือน (11.3%) ตามด้วย รัฐบาลที่บริหารงานด้วยความโปร่งใส (10.6%) และ นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีที่มีความรู้ความสามารถ (10.3%)\u003Cbr>ขณะที่ภาคธุรกิจให้ความสำคัญสูงสุดกับ “นโยบายที่ทำได้จริง ไม่ใช่เพียงการหาเสียง” (22.3%) รองลงมาคือการเปิดโอกาสให้ภาคประชาชนมีส่วนร่วมในการตรวจสอบ (10.7%) และการทำงานอย่างเป็นอิสระขององค์กรอิสระ (8.0%) ตามลำดับ ซึ่งสะท้อนความต้องการเสถียรภาพ ความเชื่อมั่น และกติกาที่เป็นธรรมในการดำเนินธุรกิจในระยะยาว\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>คอร์รัปชันยังเป็นปัญหาเร่งด่วนอันดับต้นของประเทศ\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003Cbr>ผลการสำรวจสะท้อนภาพตรงกันอย่างชัดเจนว่า “คอร์รัปชัน” ได้กลายเป็นวิกฤตระดับชาติที่ทั้งประชาชนและภาคธุรกิจไม่อาจยอมรับได้อีกต่อไป โดยประชาชนร้อยละ 77 และภาคธุรกิจสูงถึงร้อยละ 97 เห็นว่าปัญหาคอร์รัปชันในประเทศไทยมีความรุนแรง ขณะที่เกือบครึ่งหนึ่งของประชาชน และกว่าหนึ่งในห้าของภาคธุรกิจ ระบุว่าการทุจริตคอร์รัปชันเป็นหนึ่งในปัญหาเร่งด่วนลำดับต้นของประเทศ รองจากปัญหาเศรษฐกิจและคุณภาพชีวิต  ซึ่งในมุมมองภาคธุรกิจ ปัญหาคอร์รัปชันไม่ได้เป็นเพียงเรื่องภาพลักษณ์หรือจริยธรรม แต่ส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อโครงสร้างการแข่งขันและความมั่นคงของประเทศ กลุ่มตัวอย่างกว่าร้อยละ 71 มองว่าคอร์รัปชันที่เชื่อมโยงกับอาชญากรรมข้ามชาติเป็นภัยคุกคามร้ายแรงต่อประเทศ ขณะที่ร้อยละ 38 ระบุว่าคอร์รัปชันทำให้การแข่งขันทางธุรกิจไม่เป็นธรรม บั่นทอนความเชื่อมั่นของนักลงทุนและภาคเอกชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง นอกจากนี้ ผลสำรวจยังสะท้อนความเบื่อหน่ายของสังคมต่อพฤติกรรมทางการเมืองที่ขาดความจริงใจในการแก้ไขปัญหาทุจริต
